Dairy Index RDRC fell by 0.36%

Dairy Index RDRC on July 10, 2017 amounted to 24.81 RUR/kg (without VAT, fat and protein content 3.6% and 3.0% respectively), by 0.36% lower than last week. The index shows a decline due to the continuing fall of milk prices in the “regions-exporters” and “regions-importers”.
The price of milk in the "regions-exporters" last week fell by 0.65% to 21.49 rubles/kg. Also there was a price reduction in the "regions-importers", last week the price fell by 0.98% to 25.15 rubles/kg. The average price in “regions-importers” and “regions-exporters” has decreased by 0.82% to 23.12 rubles/kg.
The index of import price last week again showed an increase. The import price of a pair Skimmed milk powder + Butter rose by 0.62% to 33.91 rubles/kg (1 kg in recalculation on milk). The import price of a pair of Cheese + Whey increased by 1.04% to 29.09 rubles/kg. The index of import price rose by 0.71% to 29.78 rubles/kg.
This growth was due to higher import prices of butter and cheese. The price of butter at the auction Trigona Dairy Trade in terms of Russian currency at the exchange rate of July 7, has grown in comparison with last week by 2.12% to 430.8 rubles/kg. Compared to the rate of May 29 this year, the price of butter rose by 26.6%.
The price of cheese at the auction Trigona Dairy Trade of July 7 was 263.27 rubles/kg, by 1.3% higher than last week, and by 19.4% higher than at the end of May 2017.
New Dairy Index RDRC will be published on July 17.
Dairy Index RDRC is calculated based on two key indicators, Index of domestic price and Index of import price. The index of domestic price is calculated on the basis of the average price for raw milk in the "regions-exporters " (of raw milk), which include the Republic of Tatarstan, Novosibirsk, Vologda and Kirov regions and in the "regions - importes" - Moscow region, Altai region, Krasnodar region and Bryansk region. The index of import price is based on the stock prices of key dairy products – skimmed milk powder, whole milk powder, butter, cheese and whey powder. Prices of imported dairy products are calculated based on the prices of dairy products of the Belarusian universal commodity exchange (BUCE) and the price at the sites of Trigona Dairy Trade and GlobalDairyTrade.
