Dairy Index RDRC has declined by 0.6%

The price of milk in the "regions-importers" last week rose by 0.36% to 25.33 rubles/kg. The price of milk in the "regions-exporters" remained at the level of 22.52 rubles/kg. The weighted average price of milk in the “regions-importers” and “regions-exporters” amounted to 23.82 rubles/kg, 0.17% higher than last week.


 
The index of import price continued to decline, the value was only 27.73 rubles/kg, 2.32% below the level last week. At the auction Trigona Dairy Trade price of cheese decreased by 4.5%, prices for other commodity dairy products remained at the level of the last auction; however, a small depreciation of the Euro against the ruble has reduced the prices of imports of skimmed milk powder, butter and dry whey. 

The import price of a pair of Skimmed milk powder + Butter dropped by 0.16% to 31.57 rubles/kg (1 kg recalculated for milk). The import price of a pair of Cheese+Whey fell by 4.78% to 24.29 rubles/kg. The price of whole milk powder remained at the level of 24.10 rubles/kg.

Dairy Index RDRC is calculated based on two key indicators, weighted average price of milk in “regions-exporters” (raw milk) and “regions-importers” and the Index of import price. The “regions-exporters” include the Republic of Tatarstan, Novosibirsk, Kirov and Yaroslavl regions and the "regions - importers" - Moscow region, Altai region, Krasnodar region and Bryansk region. The index of import price is based on the stock prices of key dairy products – skimmed milk powder, whole milk powder, butter, cheese and whey powder. Prices of imported dairy products are calculated based on the prices of dairy products of the Belarusian universal commodity exchange (BUCE) and the price at the sites of Trigona Dairy Trade and GlobalDairyTrade.
