Dairy Index RDRC has decreased to 23.67 rubles/kg

 
According to the application Index RDRC weighted average price of milk in Russia amounted to 22.61 rubles/kg, which is 0.26% lower than last week and 10.14% lower than in April 2017.

The Index of import price continues rising. This figure rose last week by 0.11% to 26.87 rubles/kg, which is 4.67% higher than at the beginning of April 2017. At the auction Trigona Dairy Trade the price of butter, skimmed milk powder and whey powder increased, the price of cheese, on the contrary, decreased. In Russian currency, taking into account the strengthening of the ruble exchange rate against the Euro on the day of trading, the price of cheese decreased by 0.71% to 225.9 rubles/kg. The price of butter in rubles increased by 5.37% to 367.1 rubles/kg. 

At Belarusian universal commodity exchange (BUCE) the prices of dairy products remained at the level of previous trades.
At the 209th GDT (Global Dairy Trade) trades on April 3, the price index for dairy products decreased by 0.6%, the decrease was due to the fall in prices for dehydrated milk fat and skimmed milk powder, the prices of other stock dairy products continued to grow. The price of whole milk powder increased by 1.6%.

The import price of a pair of Skimmed milk powder + Butter rose by 1.06% to 29.53 rubles/kg (1 kg recalculated for milk). The import price of a pair of Cheese +Whey decreased by 0.63% to 25.24 rubles/kg. The price of whole milk powder remained at the level of 22.94 rubles/kg.

Dairy Index RDRC is calculated based on two key indicators, weighted average price of milk in Russian regions and the Index of import price. To calculate the weighted average price the Center developed and launched a crowdsourcing application Index RDRC, which allows accumulating current data on the prices of raw milk in Russian regions from direct market participants, producers and processors of milk. The index of import price is based on the stock prices of key dairy products – skimmed milk powder, whole milk powder, butter, cheese and whey powder. Prices of imported dairy products are calculated based on the prices of dairy products of the Belarusian universal commodity exchange (BUCE) and the price at the sites of Trigona Dairy Trade and GlobalDairyTrade.
