Dairy Index RDRC has increased by 0.58%

The price of milk in the "regions-importers" has increased by 0.71% to 25.51 rubles/kg. The price of milk in the "regions-exporters" has increased by 0.49% to 22.64 rubles/kg. The weighted average price of milk in the “regions-importers” and “regions-exporters” amounted to 23.97 rubles/kg, 0.59% higher than last week and 1.05% above the average price of November 2016.


 
The index of import prices amounted to 28.3 rubles/kg, 0.57% higher than last week and 2.75% below the average November figure of 2016. At the auction Trigona Dairy Trade last week the prices of butter and dry whey increased, while cheese and skimmed milk powder fell in price; however, the growth rate of the Euro against the ruble increased the prices of imports of these products.

The import price of a pair of Skimmed milk powder + Butter rose by 0.13% to 31.92 rubles/kg (1 kg recalculated for milk). The import price of a pair of Cheese + Whey rose by 1.14% to 24.89 rubles/kg. The price of whole milk powder remained at the level of 23.92 rubles/kg.

Dairy Index RDRC

Dairy Index RDRC is calculated based on two key indicators, weighted average price of milk in “regions-exporters” (raw milk) and “regions-importers” and the Index of import price. The “regions-exporters” include the Republic of Tatarstan, Novosibirsk, Kirov and Yaroslavl regions and the "regions - importers" - Moscow region, Altai region, Krasnodar region and Bryansk region. The index of import price is based on the stock prices of key dairy products – skimmed milk powder, whole milk powder, butter, cheese and whey powder. Prices of imported dairy products are calculated based on the prices of dairy products of the Belarusian universal commodity exchange (BUCE) and the price at the sites of Trigona Dairy Trade and GlobalDairyTrade.
