Dairy Index RDRC rose by 0.23% to 25.74 rubles (about 0.35 euros)/kg
According to the application Index RDRC the weighted average price of milk in Russia increased compared to the beginning of last week by 0.08% to 24.60 rubles (about 0.33 euros)/kg, which is 4.37% higher than the price of early March 2018. The price of milk in Altai region has increased. The price of milk in Samara, Novosibirsk, Kirov regions decreased.

The import price index rose by 2.12% to 28.89 rubles (about 0.39 euros)/kg compared to last week, compared with the beginning of March 2018, the growth was 11.16%. At the auction Trigona Dairy Trade prices for butter and whey powder have decreased, the price of cheese and skim milk powder remained at the level of previous trades, but when converted into rubles, the prices of these products rose. The price of butter, taking into account the weakening of the ruble decreased by 1.56% to 299.87 rubles about 4.02 euros)/kg, the price of cheddar increased by 0.91% to 232.4 rubles (about 3.12 euros) kg. The price of skim milk powder increased by 0.91% to 146.19 rubles (about 1.96 euros)/kg, the price of whey decreased by 1.5% to 61.5 rubles (about 0.83 euros)/kg. At the BUCE auction prices for butter and skim milk powder have increased. The price of skim milk powder increased by 5.5% to 137.58 rubles (about 1.85 euros)/kg, the price of butter increased by 4% to 343 rubles (about 4.60 euros)/kg.
Analysts of the Russian Dairy Research Center updated data on imports of dairy products, the share of imports of the more expensive pair of skim milk powder + butter increased, while the share of whole milk powder and a pair of cheese + whey decreased. At the same time, the share of imports in the calculation of Index RDRC decreased from 29.6% to 26.55%.
The import price of a pair of skim milk powder + butter has increased by 2.4% to 31.63 rubles (about 0.2 euros)/kg (1 kg in terms of milk). The import price of a pair of cheese + whey has increased by 0.5% to 26.13 rubles (about 0.35 euros)/kg. The price of whole milk powder has decreased by 0.26% to 23.28 rubles (about 0.31 euros)/kg.
The new value of Dairy Index RDRC will be published on March 4, 2019.

Dairy Index RDRC
Dairy Index RDRC is calculated based on two key indicators, the weighted average price of milk in the Russian regions and the Index of import price. To calculate the weighted average price, the Center developed and launched a crowdsourcing application Index RDRC, which allows accumulating current data on the prices of raw milk in the Russian regions from direct market participants, producers and processors of milk. The Index of import price is determined based on the prices of key exchange dairy products – skim milk powder, whole milk powder, butter, cheese and whey powder. The prices of imported dairy products are based on the prices of dairy products of the Belarusian universal commodity exchange (BUCE) and the prices at the sites of Trigona Dairy Trade and GlobalDairyTrade.
