Dairy Index RDRC rose by 0.7%

The purchase price for milk in the "regions-importers" has increased by 2.08% to 26.04 rubles/kg. The price of raw milk in the "regions-exporters" rose by 0.22% to 23.22 rubles/kg. The weighted average price of milk in the "regions-importers" and "regions-exporters" amounted to 24.56 rubles/kg, 1.15% higher than last week and 1.05% below the average price in December 2016.


 
The index of import price was 27.3 rubles/kg, 0.4% below the level last week and 5.99% below the average of December 2016. At the auction Trigona Dairy Trade last week the price of butter continued to fall, skimmed milk powder increased in price and the price of cheese and whey powder remained at the level of the last auction. Taking into consideration the strengthening of the ruble on the day of trading the price of butter in the Russian currency amounted to 301.9 rubles/kg (4.07% below the price of the last auction), the price of cheese declined by 0.76% to 208.2 rubles/kg, the price of whey powder also declined by 0.76% to 41.9 rubles/kg. The price of skimmed milk powder in rubles has increased by 2.91% to 97.16 rubles/kg.

The import price of a pair of Skimmed milk powder + Butter has declined by 0.13% to 31.4 rubles/kg (1 kg recalculated for milk). The import price of a pair of Cheese + Whey fell by 0.68% to 23.44 rubles/kg. The price of whole milk powder remained at the level of 23.92 rubles/kg.

Dairy Index RDRC is calculated based on two key indicators, weighted average price of milk in “regions-exporters” (raw milk) and “regions-importers” and the Index of import price. The “regions-exporters” include the Republic of Tatarstan, Novosibirsk, Kirov and Yaroslavl regions and the "regions - importers" - Moscow region, Altai region, Krasnodar region and Bryansk region. The index of import price is based on the stock prices of key dairy products – skimmed milk powder, whole milk powder, butter, cheese and whey powder. Prices of imported dairy products are calculated based on the prices of dairy products of the Belarusian universal commodity exchange (BUCE) and the price at the sites of Trigona Dairy Trade and GlobalDairyTrade.
