Dairy Index RDRC rose by 1.7% to 23.82 rubles (about 0.32 euro)/kg
According to the application Index RDRC, last week the weighted average price of milk in Russia rose by 1.13% to 22.33 rubles (about 0.30 euro)/kg, which is 6.84% lower than the price in November 2017. Last week, milk prices rose in Kirov, Tyumen, Voronezh and Novosibirsk regions.

Last week the import price index rose by 3.3% to 28.78 rubles (about 0.38 euro)/kg, which is 1.7% higher than in November 2017. The increase in the import price was due to the increase in prices for dairy products and the low exchange rate of the ruble. At the auction Trigona Dairy Trade the price of whey powder increased, the price of skim milk powder and cheese remained at the level of previous trading, butter, on the contrary, fell in price. The price of cheese taking into count the falling exchange rate of the ruble rose by 0.53% to 239.63 rubles (about 3.18 euro)/kg, the price of skim milk powder has grown to 127.42 rubles (about 1.69 euro)/kg, the price of butter decreased by 0.6% to 327.12 rubles (about 4.34 euro)/kg. The price of whey powder has increased by 6.5% to 60.86 rubles (about 0.81 euro)/kg. At the auction of BUCE butter price increased by 14.8% to 350
Taking into account the above, the import price of a pair of skim milk powder + butter has increased by 5.5% to 30.48 rubles (about 0.0 euro)/kg (1 kg in terms of milk). The import price of a pair of cheese +whey rose by 0.9% to 27.03 rubles (about 0.36 euro)/kg. The Price of whole milk powder remained at the level of 22.86 rubles (about 0.30 euro)/kg.

Dairy Index RDRC
Dairy Index RDRC is calculated based on two key indicators, the weighted average price of milk in the Russian regions and the Index of import price. To calculate the weighted average price, the Center developed and launched a crowdsourcing application Index RDRC, which allows accumulating current data on the prices of raw milk in the Russian regions from direct market participants, producers and processors of milk. The Index of import price is determined based on the prices of key exchange dairy products – skim milk powder, whole milk powder, butter, cheese and whey powder. The prices of imported dairy products are based on the prices of dairy products of the Belarusian universal commodity exchange (BUCE) and the prices at the sites of Trigona Dairy Trade and GlobalDairyTrade.
