Dairy Index RDRC rose to 22.85 rubles/kg
At the same time, according to the app Index RDRC, the weighted average price of milk in Russia amounted to 21.44 rubles/kg, which is 0.14% higher than the price at the beginning of last week and 5.96% lower than the price in July 2017.

The import price index last week rose by 1.76% to 27.70 rubles /kg, which is 6.2% lower than in July 2017. A key factor of the growth of the import price Index was the weakening of the ruble and the growth of prices for stock-exchange dairy products. At the auction Trigona Dairy Trade prices for all key stock-exchange dairy products remained at the same level, only skimmed milk powder has slightly increased in price, whey powder, on the contrary, has fallen in price. The price of butter taking into account the exchange rate of the ruble rose by 0.46% to 394,93 rubles/kg, the price of cheese rose to 243.6 rubles/kg. The price of skimmed milk powder has increased by 1.84% to 108.5 rubles/kg. The price of whey powder decreased by 0.96% to 51.67 rubles / kg.
At the BUCE auction the price of butter decreased by 1.7% to 300 rubles/kg, while the price of skimmed milk powder increased by 11.7% to 118.35 rubles / kg.
In this regard, the price of import of a pair of skimmed milk powder + butter increased by 3.55% to 28.58 rubles/kg (1 kg in terms of milk). The price of import of a pair of cheese + whey increased by 0.48% to 27.08 rubles/kg. The price of whole milk powder remained at the level of 22.94 rubles/kg.

Dairy Index RDRC
Dairy Index RDRC is calculated based on two key indicators, the weighted average price of milk in the Russian regions and the Index of import price. To calculate the weighted average price, the Center developed and launched a crowdsourcing application Index RDRC, which allows accumulating current data on the prices of raw milk in Russian regions from direct market participants, producers and processors of milk. The Index of import price is determined based on the prices of key exchange dairy products – skimmed milk powder, whole milk powder, butter, cheese and whey powder. The prices of imported dairy products are based on the prices of dairy products of the Belarusian universal commodity exchange (BUCE) and the prices at the sites of Trigona Dairy Trade and GlobalDairyTrade.
