Dairy Index RDRC rose to 24.09 rubles/kg

The price of milk in the "regions- importers" remained at the level of 26.05 rubles/kg. At the same time, the price of raw milk in the "regions-exporters" decreased by 0.09% to 22.19 rubles/kg. The weighted average price of milk in the "regions-importers" and "regions-exporters" amounted to 24 RUB/kg, which is 0.05% lower than last week and 5.03% lower than the average price of February 2017.


 
The index of import price amounted to 24.48 rubles/kg, which is 0.33% above the level of last week and 7.66% below the average price of the February 2017. The growth of the indicator is associated with an increase in the price of cheese at the BUCE auction. Last week the price of cheese at the BUCE auction increased by 10.8% to 265 rubles/kg. Prices for dairy products at the auction Trigona Dairy Trade on February 2, 2018 remained at the level of last week, but the weakening of the ruble against the Euro compared to previous auction led to an increase of the import price (+0.5%). Thus, the price of butter when recalculated in rubles reached 296.6 rubles/kg, the price of cheese amounted to 209.4 rubles/kg, the price of skimmed milk powder was 94.22 rubles/kg, the price of whey powder - 45 rubles/kg.

The import price of Skimmed milk powder + Butter rose by 0.12% to 25.94 rubles/kg (1 kg recalculated for milk). The import price of a pair of Cheese + Whey increased by 0.43% to 23.58 rubles/kg. The price of whole milk powder remained at the level 22.91 rubles/kg.

Dairy Index RDRC is calculated based on two key indicators, weighted average price of milk in “regions-exporters” (raw milk) and “regions-importers” and the Index of import price. The “regions-exporters” include the Republic of Tatarstan, Novosibirsk, Kirov and Yaroslavl regions and the "regions - importers" - Moscow region, Altai region, Krasnodar region and Bryansk region. The index of import price is based on the stock prices of key dairy products – skimmed milk powder, whole milk powder, butter, cheese and whey powder. Prices of imported dairy products are calculated based on the prices of dairy products of the Belarusian universal commodity exchange (BUCE) and the price at the sites of Trigona Dairy Trade and GlobalDairyTrade.
