Dairy Index RDRC rose to 25.84 rubles (about 0.36 euros)/kg
According to the application Index RDRC the weighted average price of milk in Russia last week increased by 0.08% to 24.52 rubles (about 0.34 euros)/kg, which is 5.87% higher than the price in April 2018. The price of milk increased in in Belgorod region, Republic of Bashkortostan, Lipetsk region. The price of milk decreased in Voronezh, Samara and Arkhangelsk regions.

The import price index rose by 0.58% to 29.51 rubles (about 0.41 euros)/kg compared to last week; compared to April 2018, the growth was 4.53%. Last week, the average price of butter increased by 1% to 370 rubles (about 5.13 euros)/kg, the average price of skim milk powder increased by 3.3% to 160.1 rubles (about 2.22 euros)/kg. At the auction of Trigon Dairy Trade, the price of butter decreased, the price of cheese remained at the level of previous trades, the price of skim milk powder and whey increased. The price of butter, taking into account the strengthening of the ruble fell by 3% to 296.2 rubles (about 4.11 euros)/kg, the price of cheddar decreased by 0.6% to 220.3 rubles (about 3.06 euros)/kg, the price of skim milk powder increased by 2% to 137.26 rubles (about 1.90 euros)/kg. The price of whey powder increased by 0.8% to 54.9 rubles (about 0.76 euros)/kg.
At the last auction of GDT (Global Dairy Trade) the price index for dairy products rose by 0.5%. The price of milk fat continues to grow, whole milk powder is becoming cheaper and the price of skim milk powder has grown slightly.
The import price of a pair of skim milk powder + butter has increased by 1.33% to 34.4 rubles (about 0.48 euros)/kg (1 kg in terms of milk). The import price of a pair of cheese + whey has decreased by 0.5% to 24.5 rubles (about 0.34 euros)/kg. The price of whole milk powder fell by 1.36% to 23.91 rubles (about 0.33 euros)/kg.

Dairy Index RDRC
Dairy Index RDRC is calculated based on two key indicators, the weighted average price of milk in the Russian regions and the Index of import price. To calculate the weighted average price, the Center developed and launched a crowdsourcing application Index RDRC, which allows accumulating current data on the prices of raw milk in the Russian regions from direct market participants, producers and processors of milk. The Index of import price is determined based on the prices of key exchange dairy products – skim milk powder, whole milk powder, butter, cheese and whey powder. The prices of imported dairy products are based on the prices of dairy products of the Belarusian universal commodity exchange (BUCE) and the prices at the sites of Trigona Dairy Trade and GlobalDairyTrade.
