Dairy Index RDRC rose to 25.86 rubles (about 0.35 euros)/kg
According to the application Index RDRC the weighted average price of milk in Russia last week decreased by 0.08% to 24.46 rubles (about 0.33 euros)/ kg, which is 7.9% higher than the price at the beginning of April 2018. Milk prices increased in Yaroslavl, Moscow and Kaluga regions. The prices decreased in Belgorod and Samara regions.

The import price index rose by 0.51% to 29.72 rubles (about 0.40 euros)/kg compared to last week, compared with the beginning of April 2018, the growth was 11.6%. Prices for skim milk powder and butter at the BUCE auction continued to increase, raising the price of imports. The average price of skim milk powder on the Belarusian stock exchange last week increased by 1.3% to 155 rubles (about 2.11 euros)/kg, the average price of butter increased by 2.6% to 372.57 rubles (about 5.07 euros)/kg. The price of whey powder at the BUCE auction has decreased by 6.25% to 45 rubles (about 0.61 euros)/kg.
At the auction Trigon Dairy Trade prices for butter and whey powder have decreased, the price of cheddar cheese and skim milk powder remained at the level of previous trading. The price of butter following a slight weakening of the ruble fell by 1.05% to 302.5 rubles (about 4.12 euros)/kg, the price of cheddar cheese rose by 0.14% to 225.95 rubles (about 3.07 euros)/kg. The price of skim milk powder rose by 0.14% to 134.84 rubles (about 1.83 euros)/kg, the price of whey powder decreased by 1.8% to 55.76 rubles (about 0.76 euros)/kg.
The import price of a pair of skim milk powder + butter has increased by 1.19% to 34.07 rubles (about 0.46 euros)/kg (1 kg in terms of milk). The import price of a pair of cheese + whey pair has decreased by 0.39% to 25.27 rubles (about 0.34 euros)/kg. The price of whole milk powder remained at the level of 24.2 rubles (about 0.33 euros)/kg.

Dairy Index RDRC Dairy Index RDRC is calculated based on two key indicators, the weighted average price of milk in the Russian regions and the Index of import price. To calculate the weighted average price, the Center developed and launched a crowdsourcing application Index RDRC, which allows accumulating current data on the prices of raw milk in the Russian regions from direct market participants, producers and processors of milk. The Index of import price is determined based on the prices of key exchange dairy products – skim milk powder, whole milk powder, butter, cheese and whey powder. The prices of imported dairy products are based on the prices of dairy products of the Belarusian universal commodity exchange (BUCE) and the prices at the sites of Trigona Dairy Trade and GlobalDairyTrade.
