Dairy Index RDRC rose to 25.86 rubles (about 0.36 euros)/kg
According to the application Index RDRC the weighted average price of milk in Russia last week decreased by 0.2% to 24.47 rubles (about 0.34 euros)/kg, which is 7.5% higher than the price in April 2018. The price of milk increased in Tyumen, Yaroslavl and Lipetsk region. The price of milk decreased in Altai, Kaluga and Samara regions.

The import price index rose by 0.7% to 29.72 rubles (about 0.41 euros)/kg compared to last week; compared with the end of April 2018, the growth was 6.37%. At the auction of Trigon Dairy Trade prices for skim milk powder, cheese and whey have increased, the price of butter remained at the level of previous trades. The price of butter taking into consideration the strengthening of the ruble declined by 0.2% to 295.66 rubles (about 4.10 euros)/kg, the price of cheddar grew by 1.45% to 223.54 rubles (about 3.10 euros)/kg, the price of skim milk powder increased by 5.07% to 144.22 rubles (about 2.00 euros)/kg. The price of powdered whey has increased by 3.7% to 56.97 rubles (about 0.79 euros)/kg.
The price of imports of a pair of skim milk powder + butter has increased by 0.23% to 34.47 rubles (about 0.48 euros)/kg (1 kg in terms of milk). The import price of a pair of cheese + whey has increased by 1.47% to 24.86 rubles (about 0.34 euros)/kg. The price of whole milk powder remained at the level of 23.91 rubles (about 0.33 euros)/kg.

Dairy Index RDRC
Dairy Index RDRC is calculated based on two key indicators, the weighted average price of milk in the Russian regions and the Index of import price. To calculate the weighted average price, the Center developed and launched a crowdsourcing application Index RDRC, which allows accumulating current data on the prices of raw milk in the Russian regions from direct market participants, producers and processors of milk. The Index of import price is determined based on the prices of key exchange dairy products – skim milk powder, whole milk powder, butter, cheese and whey powder. The prices of imported dairy products are based on the prices of dairy products of the Belarusian universal commodity exchange (BUCE) and the prices at the sites of Trigona Dairy Trade and GlobalDairyTrade.
