Dairy Index RDRC rose to 25.88 rubles (about 0.34 euros)/kg
According to the application Index RDRC the weighted average price of milk in Russia increased compared to the beginning of last week by 0.2% to 24.76 rubles (about 0.33 euros)/kg, which is 3.17% higher than the price of early February 2018. Prices rose in Moscow, Bryansk and Lipetsk regions. In Kaluga and Kirov regions prices for milk have decreased.

The import price index decreased by 0.17% to 28.53 rubles (about 0.38 euros)/kg, which is 16.93% higher than at the beginning of February 2018. The decline was caused by the decline in prices for exchange products. At the auction BUCE the price of butter has decreased by 0.1% to 330 rubles (about 4.40 euros)/kg. At the auction Trigona Dairy Trade the prices of butter and skim milk powder have decreased, the price of cheese remained at the level of the last auction, the price of whey powder increased. The price of butter, taking into account the weakening of the ruble decreased by 2.08% to 319.6 rubles(about 4.26 euros)/kg, the price of cheddar increased by 0.23% to 233.12 rubles (about 3.11 euros)/kg. The price of skim milk powder fell by 4.66% to 146.64 rubles (about 1.95 euros)/kg, the price of whey powder increased by 0.83% to 63.17 rubles (about 0.84 euros)/kg.
The import price of a pair of skim milk powder + butter has decreased by 0.58% to 31.08 rubles (about 0.41 euros)/kg (1 kg in terms of milk). The import price of a pair of cheese + whey has increased by 0.23% to 26.29 rubles (about 0.35 euros)/kg. The price of whole milk powder remained at the level of 22.29 rubles (about 0.30 euros)/kg.

Dairy Index RDRC
Dairy Index RDRC is calculated based on two key indicators, the weighted average price of milk in the Russian regions and the Index of import price. To calculate the weighted average price, the Center developed and launched a crowdsourcing application Index RDRC, which allows accumulating current data on the prices of raw milk in the Russian regions from direct market participants, producers and processors of milk. The Index of import price is determined based on the prices of key exchange dairy products – skim milk powder, whole milk powder, butter, cheese and whey powder. The prices of imported dairy products are based on the prices of dairy products of the Belarusian universal commodity exchange (BUCE) and the prices at the sites of Trigona Dairy Trade and GlobalDairyTrade.
