Dairy Index RDRC rose to 25.91 rubles (about 0.35 euros)/kg
According to the application Index RDRC the weighted average price of milk in Russia increased by 0.32% to 24.84 rubles (about 0.33 euros)/kg compared to the beginning of last week, which is 3.54% higher than the price of February 2018. Prices rose in the Republic of Tatarstan, Tyumen and Kursk regions. In Omsk, Orenburg and Leningrad regions the prices of milk have decreased.

The import price index decreased by 0.32% to 28.44 rubles (about 0.38 euros)/kg, which is 16.18% higher than in February 2018. The decline was caused by the decline in prices for exchange products and the weakening of the ruble. At the auction Trigona Dairy Trade the price of butter and whey powder decreased, the price of cheese and skim milk powder remained at the level of previous trading. The price of butter, taking into account the weakening of the ruble decreased by 2.66% to 311.1 rubles (about 4.19 euros)/ kg, the price of cheddar decreased by 0.31% to 232.4 rubles (about 313 euros)/kg. The price of skim milk powder has decreased by 0.31% to 146.18 rubles (about 1.97 euros)/kg, the price of whey powder has decreased by 0.9% to 62.6 rubles (about 0.84 euros)/kg.
At the auction Global Dairy Trade (GDT) prices for exchange-traded products continue to grow. On February 6, 2019, the price index for dairy products increased by 6.7% at the 229 auction of GDT (Global Dairy Trade). Prices for all dairy products, except buttermilk, have increased. The price of milk powder continued to grow, and whole milk powder went up in price by 8.4%, the growth in the price of skim milk powder slowed slightly and amounted to 3.9%.
The import price of a pair of skim milk powder + butter has decreased by 0.32% to 30.98 rubles (about 0.42 euros)/kg (1 kg in terms of milk). The import price of a pair of cheese + whey has decreased by 0.3% to 26.21 rubles (about 0.35 euros)/kg. The Price of whole milk powder has increased by 4.13% to 23.21 rubles (about 0.31 euros)/kg.

Dairy Index RDRC
Dairy Index RDRC is calculated based on two key indicators, the weighted average price of milk in the Russian regions and the Index of import price. To calculate the weighted average price, the Center developed and launched a crowdsourcing application Index RDRC, which allows accumulating current data on the prices of raw milk in the Russian regions from direct market participants, producers and processors of milk. The Index of import price is determined based on the prices of key exchange dairy products – skim milk powder, whole milk powder, butter, cheese and whey powder. The prices of imported dairy products are based on the prices of dairy products of the Belarusian universal commodity exchange (BUCE) and the prices at the sites of Trigona Dairy Trade and GlobalDairyTrade.
