The issue on milk supplies from Belarus will be resolved on Wednesday at talks with the Belarusian side, which will be held by Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich.
"Today it will be discussed at talks with Arkady Vladimirovich (Dvorkovich – ed.). We, the service, provided suggestions, and my Deputy is taking part in the negotiations". - told reporters Head of the Rosselkhoznadzor Sergey Dankvert.

Sergey Dankvert himself does not take part in Russian-Belarusian talks after Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko announced the need to bring a criminal case against him "for causing damage to the country". In this regard several procedural steps have been taken.

According to S. Dankvert, the decision to ban the supply of dairy products since March 15 or about another postponement of the date will depend on what documents will be submitted by the Belarusian side. "They do not provide any monitoring data (for products on the content of hazardous substances – ed.). Our monitoring means that we are making claims: here is a list, there is an antibiotic that we detect, and you show your monitoring – they do not show, but the antibiotics detected are of synthetic origin", he said.

At the same time, he stressed that the Rosselkhoznadzor adheres to a strict position in the issues of Belarusian dairy products export. "We have a tough position, I told you, and Arkady Vladimirovich will make the decision", he said, without saying how tough position of the service is.

As reported, at present a delegation of Belarus headed by Deputy Prime Minister Mikhail Rusy is in Moscow. Earlier, the Minister of agriculture and food of Belarus Leonid Zayats said that to resolve the problem there will be offered a road map in which the positions of Belarus will be indicated and the position of the Russian Federation will be taken into account.

Due to numerous violations of the Russian veterinary and sanitary requirements and re-export of products from the countries from which deliveries to the Russian Federation are forbidden, the Rosselkhoznadzor made the decision on restriction of import of the milk and the cream in bulk, and also milk powder and whey from Belarus. Initially it was planned to introduce a ban since February 26, and then the date was postponed to March 5, and then to March 15.

According to the Rosselkhoznadzor, in 2016 out of 723 cases of violations of veterinary and sanitary standards and requirements of the EAEU and the Russian Federation by Belarusian enterprises, 386 cases of violations accounted for milk and dairy products. Moreover, in 10 cases there were found the remains of banned and harmful substances. In 2017 there were revealed 596 violations, of which 376 were for milk and dairy products. In 201 cases there were found the remains of banned and harmful substances. As of February 20, 2018, 32 violations have already been recorded in milk and dairy products. Of these 21 cases revealed the remains of banned and harmful substances.
