Danone proposes to postpone the introduction of electronic veterinary certification of raw milk until 2019

The Group Danone, one of the leading producers of dairy products in Russia, offers to postpone the introduction of electronic veterinary certification (EVC) of raw milk until 2019, said Director on public relations and government agencies in the region East of the group of companies Danone in Russia Julia Lyogkaya at the meeting in Kemerovo on Wednesday.
In addition, the company considers it necessary to exclude from the list of regulated goods finished and packed dairy products after heat treatment of. It will be possible to return to the issue on EVC, of the finished product no earlier than 2022.
These proposals were included in the text of the resolution adopted at the meeting. Milk processing enterprises of the region are concerned about the upcoming innovations. "We note the lack of willingness of introducing the system of EVC from both raw milk producers and processors, enterprises of organized and unorganized trade, distributors and carriers," - said in a resolution.
The resolution also notes that "both agricultural enterprises and veterinary office do not currently have sufficient technological and human resources for processing of electronic veterinary certificates". The special issue is technological equipment of enterprises of small farms: private farms, households, agricultural consumer cooperatives.
According to representatives of Danone, pilot projects for the introduction of EVC of raw milk are currently implemented on dairy plants in Kemerovo, Lipetsk and in Tyumen region.
Electronic veterinary certification of animal products was introduced by amendments to the law "On veterinary medicine" which was signed by the President on 14 July 2015. Until January 1, 2018, it provides a transitional period during which it will be possible to certify products both on paper and in electronic form.
