Deflation in Russia is held the second week in a row

From 1 to 7 August, in Russia there was again recorded deflation of 0.1% as in the previous reporting period, reports The DairyNews citing the data of Rosstat.
Since the beginning of the year, as stated in the materials of the Department, consumer prices rose by 2.3%.
Over the past week, prices for fruit and vegetable products fell by 3.9%, including cabbage – by 12.1%, potatoes, onions, carrots, tomatoes and cucumbers - by 4.9-to 7.5%. Eggs also became cheaper by 0.9%, buckwheat - by 0.5%, millet - by 0.2%.
Rose in price: beef, lamb, cooked sausage, canned meat, frozen fish, butter and sunflower oil, bread, sugar and salt – by 0.1-0.2%.
The price of gasoline and diesel fuel remained at the level of last week.
