Milk production in Russia in 2021 will amount to 32.3 million tons, which is 110 thousand tons more than last year. Minister of Agriculture Dmitry Patrushev announced this at the "government hour" in the State Duma on December 14.
As for animal husbandry, all over the world it bears enormous losses from especially dangerous animal diseases, Patrushev noted. In Russia, all measures have been taken to stabilize the situation, which made it possible to prevent a negative scenario.
Livestock and poultry production will amount to 15.7 million tons by the end of the year, growth is observed in beef production, and poultry and pork production will remain at the level of last year.
In food products, the Ministry of Agriculture notes an increase in the production of cheeses, cereals, semi-finished meat products, sausages, bakery, confectionery and canned fruits and vegetables.
