Dmitry Peskov commented on the problems with the supply of goods in the Far East
‘Yes, we know that there is a certain logistical problem caused by the international logistics crisis developing in recent weeks. This is a post-covid manifestation of the world economy. <...> Measures are being taken by the government, and, of course, this issue is under the control of the president,’ Peskov said.
Earlier, the newspaper Kommersant wrote that in remote regions of the Far East there are not enough essential goods, building materials and products due to delays in the ports of Primorye.
Local authorities explained that problems with supplies appeared due to the fact that China redirects goods through Vladivostok, Nakhodka and Transsib due to quarantine and problems at border crossings.
Residents of the villages of Chukotka complain about the lack of vegetables, fruits, dairy products and eggs in stores. Deliveries to Kamchatka are delayed for up to 60 days.
Minister of Transport and Road Construction of Kamchatka, Vladimir Kayumov, said that the Ministry of Transport has created a working group to control the supply of goods to the Far East.
