Due to the labeling the Group of companies Losevo stopped the production of cheese for two weeks
The company noted that the introduction of a mandatory labeling system carries serious costs for the manufacturer, and requires time to train employees to work with new equipment and software.
‘In June, we plan to complete this process. In this regard, we have suspended the production of cheeses for this period. After the launch of the system in our company, the production of cheese will be resumed. The rest of our company's products are produced in the normal mode. As soon as the system is launched, we will return to the sale and production of cheese. According to experts, the approximate period of suspension of the process is two weeks,’ said in the press service.
The Group of companies Losevo noted that cheeses make up a fairly large and important segment of the assortment, so even a temporary pause in the production of some items carries costs and a serious loss of potential profit. At the same time, according to the representative of the company, the costs incurred because of the suspension of production are still impossible to calculate.
‘Now in our branded stores you can buy several types of semi-hard cheeses with a shelf life of up to 30 days, which were produced before June 1. We hope that the sale of these items of the cheese assortment will partially reduce the pause for our customers and make it less painful,’ concluded in the Group of companies Losevo.
