According to Rosstat, referred to by The DairyNews, the weekly inflation rate in Russia is held at zero level for the second week. Since the beginning of the year consumer prices rose by 1.7% and their decrease since the beginning of September was 0.1%. In annual terms inflation slowed down to 3.1%.
From 12 to 18 September eggs rose in price by 0.8%, butter, milk, sour cream, rice and millet - by 0.2-0.3%. Sugar became cheaper by 2.1%, buckwheat – by 1%, sunflower oil - by 0.3%.
Fruit and vegetable products fell in price on average by 1.6%. Potatoes, cabbage, onions and carrots fell in price the most – by 2.7 and 4.6%, respectively. Apples became cheaper by 1.9%. However, cucumbers and tomatoes became more expensive by 2.1% and 1.6%, respectively.
Gasoline and diesel fuel rose in price by 0.1%.
