During the week, cheeses fell in price by 0.1%. The cost of sour cream has not changed, the price of pasteurized milk has risen by 0.1%, sterilized milk and cottage cheese – by 0.2%, butter – by 0.3%, writes The DairyNews with reference to the press service of the Rosstat.
In general, from July 30 to August 5, the Rosstat noted zero inflation in Russia. A week earlier, deflation was recorded at 0.1%. This was the first time since September 2017. Since the beginning of the year, consumer prices have increased by 2.7%.
Over the previous week prices for chicken eggs increased by 1.5%, for millet – by 1.2%, for lamb and polished rice – by 0.4%, for beef, boiled sausages, frozen fish, bread and chocolates – by 0.2%.
During the same period the price of sugar decreased by 0.4%. The decrease in prices for fruits and vegetables was on average 2%, including potatoes – 6%, tomatoes – 4.2%, cucumbers – 4.1%, carrots – 4%, onions – 3.5%.
Prices for motor gasoline and diesel fuel have not changed.
