Dushanbe and Minsk will strengthen cooperation in the field of agriculture
The delegation of Tajikistan was headed by the Minister of agriculture, Izzatullo Sattori. He noted that Dushanbe intends to cooperate with Belarusian scientists on heat-resistant and drought-resistant varieties of agricultural plants, which are planned to be introduced in Tajikistan.
The Minister added that in September it is planned to launch a joint venture for milk processing in the Republic. In addition, the parties will strengthen cooperation in the field of seed and livestock breeding.
We will remind, at the end of 2018, the trade turnover between Tajikistan and Belarus amounted to $37.4 million. In particular, Belarus exports tractors, tractors, carpets and flooring, tires and other goods to the Republic. From Tajikistan there is imported cotton fiber, cotton yarn, dried fruits, nuts, other agricultural products.
