Dutch milk soured after diplomatic scandal
Preliminary results of inspections of Dutch suppliers of dairy products to Russia were unsatisfactory, said Sergey Dankvert, head of veterinary authority Rosselkhoznadzor. It is necessary to update lists of dairy products suppliers from Netherlands to Russia; they must include only those exporters, who meet Russian requirements. At the moment 71 Dutch companies are allowed to export to Russia, but Rosselkhoznadzor can cut this list because Dutch veterinary service allows exporting products “without watching them”.
It’s curious that the decision may be made right after a scandal with Russian diplomat in Netherlands. Dutch police broke into a house of a Russian diplomat and beat him. Neighbors’ complaints are said to became reason for his arrest.
