Eight companies of the rating TOP 50 demonstrated a decrease in milk production in 2016

Not all of the companies included in the rating of the TOP 50 largest milk producers on the Russian market prepared by the Russian Dairy Research Center showed a positive trend in 2016. Eight participants of the rating reduced volume of milk production compared to 2015.
A leader in the reduction of milk production in absolute terms and in percentage was LLC "Interkros Center". The volume of milk production of the company declined by 31.3% (-12.8 thousand tons) in 2016. LLC "Interkros Center" lost 16 positions and occupied the 35th place in the rating in 2016 with a result of 28157 tons of milk.
The decline in milk production was also demonstrated by LLC "APK Food program" (-14.56% or -4.3 thousand tons), LLC "Agro-industrial group Molochny Product" (-8.6% or -3.7 thousand tons), LLC "APK Vozrozhdenie" (LLC Agricultural Enterprise “Chapaevskoe” -7,14% or -2 thousand tons), LLC MC "Agroholding Kuban" (-3.6% or -2.2 thousand tons). A small decrease in milk production was observed in the collective farm named after V.Ya. Gorin (-1.32% or 288 tons), LLC "Oka Milk" (-0.57% or 130 tons) and JSC "Breeding factory Trudovoy" (-0.18% or -65 tons).
In general, the volume of milk production of the TOP 50 companies – producers increased by 13.31% (+324.2 thousand tons) compared to 2015 and amounted to 2759270.31 tons.
