Ekaterina Zakharova: the growth of export prices for Belarusian milk powder will restrain the seasonal decline in Russia
Earlier it became known that Belarus has raised the minimum recommended export prices for dairy products since March 15.
- Russian producers are interested first of all in the growth of prices for skim milk powder. At the beginning of the year, the price of skim milk powder on the world stock exchanges was growing, in Europe it was the effect of "shaking off" interventional ballast, but now the price of skim milk powder is not growing. At the last auction of Global Dairy Trade the price of skim milk powder fell by 4.3%, at the auction of the Dutch Trigona Dairy Trade the price of skim milk powder fell by 2.6% last week, - said Ekaterina Zakharova.
According to her, the prices of the Belarusian skim milk powder are the result of partial closure of Belarusian supplies in 2018.
- The growth of export prices for the Belarusian skim milk powder will increase the price of raw milk in Russia or restrain the seasonal decline, but in the long term the dynamics is determined by the world market, - believes Ekaterina Zakharova.
We will remind that since March 15 the price of skimmed milk powder of "Extra" class increased by 10 rubles (145 rubles/kg or $2,216/t), skim milk powder - 140 rubles/kg or $2,140/t, as well as whole milk powder - 210 rubles/kg or $3,210/t.
The prices of butter 72% fat (295 rubles/kg or $4,509/t), butter 82% fat (335 rubles/kg or $5,120/t), cheese up to 45% fat (285 rubles/kg or $4,356/t) and above 45% (290 rubles/kg or $4,433/t) increased by 5 rubles.
