"EkoNiva" by Stefan Durr opened four new dairy complexes in Voronezh region worth more than 10 billion rubles
We are talking about cattle-breeding complexes in Bobrov and Koroshevo village of Bobrov district, as well as in the villages Bodeevka and Dobrino of Liski district for 2.8 thousand heads each. The facilities in Liski district cost 2.64 billion rubles each, in Bobrov district – 2.49 billion rubles each. PSC Sberbank of Russia and JSC "Rossekhozbank" were involved in their financing. The construction of complexes was going on the whole year. According to the passports of the facilities, they will be equipped with rotary milking parlours or with herringbone milking systems made by GEA.
The opening ceremony of the complexes was attended by Governor of Voronezh region Alexander Gusev, Deputy Chairman Viktor Logvinov, chiefs of Bobrov and Liski districts Anatoly Balbekov and Igor Kirnos, and also former prefect of Liski Victor Shevtsov, and Chairman of the Board of "Soyuzmoloko" Andrey Danilenko. According to Mr. Danilenko, the opening of “EkoNiva” complexes is a global event. He stressed that earlier such large facilities were not put into operation at the same time in such local proximity to each other. Alexander Gusev, in turn, promised further state support to “EkoNiva” and noted the need to establish further processing of raw milk in the region. The official also announced the opening of four more livestock complexes in Voronezh region in 2019.
At the opening of the facilities, the head of “EkoNiva” Stefan Durr said that the main problem of dairy farming is the problem of falsification. He noted that now the Federal authorities are developing a system of turnover penalties for dishonest producers. It should be noted that "EkoNiva" took the first place in the rating of the largest domestic investment projects in agriculture in 2018 made by the magazine "Agroinvestor". The publication estimated the total investment of the group at 70 billion rubles.
The group of company “EkoNiva” includes LLC "EkoNiva-APK holding" (dairy and beef farming, crop and seed production) and LLC "EkoNivaTechnika-holding" (supply of imported agricultural machinery, servicing, parts). The company operates in 10 regions: Voronezh, Moscow, Kursk, Novosibirsk, Orenburg, Tyumen, Ryazan and Kaluga regions, in the republics of Bashkortostan and Tatarstan. In 2017 “EkoNiva” produced 297 million liters of milk. The total area of farmland is 480 thousand hectares. Total population of cattle is 105 thousand heads. In 2017 the total income of the parent company Ekosem-Agrar amounted to 246 million euros, EBITDA - 69.5 million euros. The parent company of the holding company "EkoNiva" is Ekosem-Agrar registered in Germany, other owners: Stefan Duerr – 42.8%, the Chairman of the Board of Directors Robert Curn – 14.7% and Cyprus offshore Torentina (controlled by the shareholders of "Alfa-Bank") – 16%. Another 26.5% belongs to the top management of “EkoNiva”.
