Ekosem-Agrar GmbH to increase dairy herd to 25,000 cows

Ekosem-Agrar GmbH, the parent company of the agricultural holding EkoNiva, has increased dairy herd by 13%.
As of end of September 2015 dairy cows population at the company’s farms totaled 24,000 cows against 21,200 in 2014. By the end of 2015 the herd is estimated to grow to 25,000 cows.
During January-October 2015 average daily milk yield totaled 488 tons (427 tons in 2014). Gross milk yield during the period under consideration increased by 17% from 115,000 tons to 134,000 tons.
