Elena Stafeeva: everything is growing except the price of raw milk
- Today it is very difficult to predict what will happen to the price – the increase in the price of milk has never been due to an increase in the cost of milk. Price growth is provided by the market - by supply and demand, but not by the cost, and these processes are not interrelated. But due to the growth of the dollar, I think the price of milk powder should increase", she said.
According to Elena Stafeeva, today all sellers who purchased goods at the old prices behave differently. They have a great temptation – and some raise prices. Prices for machinery have increased very much – prices for tractors and imported agricultural machines. Accordingly, the price of servicing these machines will also increase.
- Everything related to feed – medicines, feed additives - increases in price – because they have many imported components. This is a transitional moment when it is difficult to predict anything. But I assume that the price of consumables, the cost of milk production will increase, and the price of fertilizers will increase significantly – they are not there in principle. Today, prices for plant protection products have increased significantly, - said Elena Stafeeva. - The only thing that hasn't increased is the price of raw milk. And taking into account the current situation with coronavirus, when the purchasing power of people falls - the demand for milk will begin to decline.
According to the expert, as for raw material prices, they will not grow quickly. Now the price in the Sverdlovsk region, according to Elena Stafeeva, is around 23-24 rubles without VAT per kilogram of milk with fat content - 3.4%, protein content - 3%.
- The price will increase in our region in the next couple of months - no more than a ruble and a half, - summed up Elena Stafeeva.
