Evgeny Kalinin: per item accounting reduces the efficiency of the Valio plant by 20-30%
According to Evgeny Kalinin, IT Director of Valio, today ‘our wish to the government is to fully decide on the issue of piece-by-piece traceability in 2022, since per item accounting of aggregators at the production stage requires additional investments in packaging equipment and reduces production efficiency by 20-30%. This also creates difficulties in the logistics chain, which may require additional personnel and obvious costs for them,’ explained Evgeny Kalinin.
The expert also added that in the issue of labeling, the main problems for Valio are administrative issues. The biggest one is the requirements to label cheese and butter in blocks, labeling imported goods from Belarus. ‘We would like these issues to be resolved before June 1,’ concluded Evgeny Kalinin.
