Export of Russian dairy products may grow to $ 800 million by 2020

According to the Executive Director of Soyuzmoloko Artem Belov, by 2024, the export of dairy products from Russia will grow to $ 800 million, the key export destinations will be the countries of Southeast Asia, China, MENA and the CIS counries, writes The DairyNews from The Global Dairy Congress in Moscow.
According to his estimates, production of marketable milk in Russia will grow to 24 million tons by 2025, the annual growth will be about 1.9%.
Belov stressed that now the level of consolidation in the market of raw milk is not very high, according to Soyuzmoloko, the TOP 20 largest milk producers produce 1.8 million tons of milk, which is only 8.5% of the total production of marketable milk.
According to Belov's forecasts, "the growth of prices for raw milk in the world market will be 2-3% annually, China will increase imports, while vegetable analogues do not compete with dairy products, since these markets are developing in parallel and in fact only in the US and China these products are allowed to be called "milk".
