FAS conducts inspections of Pyaterochka, Perekrstok, Lenta and Magnit
As part of the ongoing inspections, the FAS of Russia will assess the pricing of the largest retail chains, as well as study the reasons for possible unjustified price increases.
If there is a violation of the prohibitions established by the Law on Protection of Competition in the actions of the audited persons, a case will be initiated on violation of the antimonopoly legislation, and companies may face a turnover fine of up to 15% of annual revenue. The turnover of the audited organizations by the end of 2020 exceeds 4 trillion rubles.
The conclusions about the presence or absence of violations of the antimonopoly legislation in the actions of the audited companies will be made by the agency based on the results of verification activities, as well as an analysis of all information received by the FAS of Russia.
