For eight months of the year, imports of palm oil to Russia amounted to 569 thousand tons

From January to August 2016, the Russian imports of palm oil and its fractions amounted to 569 thousand tons, The DairyNews reports citing the data of Rosstat. It is 7.4% higher than during the first eight months of last year.
Only in August 91.7 thousand tons of palm oil and its fractions (+36,1% to July 2016 and - 11% to August 2015) were imported to Russia.
Imports of cheese and curd for eight months of the year amounted to 146 thousand tons (+12,8% compared to the same period in 2015), including in August, Russia imported 16.2 thousand tons (-22% to July 2016 and -23,8% to August 2015).
By the results of January-August the import of butter has reduced. As Rosstat shows, 58 tons of this product were imported to Russia (-4,4% to January-August 2015). In particular, in August imports of oil amounted to 7.8 thousand tons.
158 thousand tons of non-condensed milk and cream not concentrated were imported during the first eight months (-3,9% compared to the same period last year).
Condensed milk and cream were imported in the amount of 148 thousand tons (+15,1% compared to the same period last year), including imports of powder milk and cream that made 115 thousand tons (+29,2% to the same period last year).
