For many enterprises, the introduction of the ‘Honest mark’ is equivalent to closing, - Novator plant
The company said that the cost of re-equipment of one line to work in the Honest mark system will be from 4 to 6 million rubles, reports The DairyNews. This does not include the constant cost of QR codes and subsequent maintenance of equipment.
We remind that the introduction of labeling in the dairy industry will be implemented in stages since 2021; peasant farm holdings will receive a delay until October 1, 2022.
‘The budget is unrealistically large. The cost of re-equipment of one line for the Honest mark will be from 4 to 6 million rubles. What about enterprises that will need to purchase about 20 marking units for just one shop? Moreover, in addition to installing expensive imported equipment, we expect constant costs: each code will cost the company 50 kopecks, excluding VAT, plus payment of qualified personnel for equipment maintenance,’ Yulia Nakonechnaya emphasized.
The expert added that this will lead to an increase in the cost of dairy products due to the cost of the code and the cost of equipment purchased for its application.
Many market participants note the enormous cost of re-equipment. Earlier, The DairyNews reported that another enterprise in the South, the Krasnogvardeysky dairy plant, even created a working group to prepare for the introduction of labeling. The risk of rising prices of products at the plant was called "possible".
Earlier, The DairyNews with reference to Konstantin Sinetsky, Head of the Southern Dairy Union (Kubanmoloko), reported that the contribution of labeling to the price increase of the category might be 10-13%.
