For seven months of the year agricultural enterprises produced 9.2 million tons of raw milk

As follows from the materials of Rosstat, as of 1 August the agricultural enterprises of Russia produced 9.29 million tons of raw milk, reports The DairyNews.
For seven months of the year milk production at large, medium and small agricultural enterprises increased by 2.9%.
Milk yield per cow in a dairy herd in the sector of agricultural organizations amounted to 3751 kg, an increase of 5.9% compared to the same period last year.
It has to be noted that the number of cattle at agricultural enterprises has decreased by 1 August by 1.2% to 8.4 million heads. The number of milking cows in agricultural organizations was reduced by 0.3% and amounted to 3.33 million heads.
