GC Rumelko will build a dairy farm in Altai region worth 5 billion rubles

The project is planned to be implemented within the framework of a trilateral agreement on socio-economic partnership between the government of Altai region, the administration of the Zarinsk district and the farm Blinovskoye, which is a subsidiary of the Group of companies Rumelko. The agreement was signed within the framework of the agroforum by the governor of the region, Head of Zarinsk district Sergey Timiryazev, the general director of Rumelko Sergey Sheryshev.

"It is planned that investors will create a dairy livestock complex for about 3 thousand head (cows – noted by TASS), this will make it possible to create jobs for about two hundred people, the volume of investments is estimated at 5 billion rubles. This is work, taxes, production, high-quality milk for our processors,’ the governor said.

According to the investor's plans, the new livestock complex will be built in 2021-2022. The produced milk will be shipped to local processing enterprises.

Head of the construction project for the dairy farm, Alexander Umanets, later clarified to journalists that more than 4.5 billion rubles will be invested in the project. ‘The production capacity is planned to be 30 thousand tons of raw milk per year. The complex will be designed for 6 thousand head of animals with young stock. We plan that by the end of 2022 we will be able to receive more than half of the animals, and we plan to reach full capacity by mid-2023. The priority is given to the Altai milk processors - in Zarinsk, Rubtsovsk districts and in Barnaul,’ Umanets explained.

The interregional agro-industrial forum "Siberian Field Day" takes place on June 23-24 in the territory of the Siberian Agricultural Park. At the site, where all the achievements of the Russian agricultural machinery industry have been traditionally presented since 2011, this year more than 550 units of equipment, pedigree agricultural animals, are presented. The event is attended by more than 280 companies.
