Gross milk production in Belgorod region has amounted to 288.2 thousand tons for the first 5 months of 2021

In particular, agricultural enterprises produced 231.2 thousand tons, which is 6.9 thousand tons more than last year.

‘The regional leaders in milk production are large agricultural holding enterprises of the Group of Companies Green Valley - 48.7 thousand tons and the Group of Companies Avida - 36.2 thousand tons, as well as the intensively developing independent enterprise JSC "Samarinskoe" - 17.7 thousand tons, - emphasized Yulia Shchedrina.

She added that the largest increase in milk compared to the same period in 2020 was recorded at enterprises that occupy leading positions in livestock and breeding work, with a high level of veterinary support and the latest technological equipment: LLC Dairy plant Seversky Donets (+4.1 thousand tons), JSC Belgorod Dairy Farms (+2.2 thousand tons), LLC Borisov Farms (+2.1 thousand tons), Agricultural production cooperative Bolshevik (+1.8 thousand tons) and JSC Samarinskoye (+1.6 thousand tons).

Yulia Shchedrina noted that in terms of gross milk production in agricultural organizations, Belgorod region ranks 3rd in the Central Federal District after Voronezh and Moscow regions.
