Igor Pekhotin: the product composition should be clearly marked on the package
- The market is ready for changes in the technical regulations "On milk safety": pasteurized milk and products with palm oil in the composition are consumed throughout our country. However, the buyer does not always understand what he chooses: he thinks that this is milk, but in fact it is its substitute. Therefore, the composition of the product should be clearly marked on the package. In general, nothing will change with the innovations of the technical regulations, - said Igor Pekhotin.
Since July 16, new rules for labeling products with vegetable fats will start operating in Russia; in addition, new terms in the list of dairy products will become relevant. This measure, along with the electronic veterinary certification system "Mercury" introduced on July 1, is aimed at increasing the transparency and traceability of the market. It should be noted that dairy products made from pasteurized, ultra-pasteurized, high-temperature processed milk in consumer packaging with not be subject to the action of EVC.
- The abolition of EVC for finished dairy products is a positive measure. Suppliers of raw materials for LLC "Molochny Kit" are connected to the “Mercury”, but since the introduction of the system, we have recorded the following: the server of the "Mercury" does not work. In addition, there are the obvious loopholes, which will certainly be used by the falsifiers, because beside the "Mercury" there were invented ways to get around it. It is necessary to find a way of dealing with falsification, which would not hit the wallet of the end user, – concluded Igor Pekhotin.
The users of the system in the regions are now facing the same type of error. According to the relative performance of EVC API-interface accounts for 81% as of July 4, the web interface - 19% of all issued electronic veterinary accompanying documents. State veterinarians issued 39% of the total number of electronic veterinary accompanying documents, business entities issued 61%.
