Ildar Fayzullin: the decline in the price of raw milk will be insignificant
- The price of raw milk went down – this trend is really observed. The cost on the shelves is rising, as a result the need for dairy products is reduced and the demand for finished products is decreasing. In addition, the seasonality of the industry plays an important role in the issue of pricing. But don't be afraid, I think, the decline would be quite insignificant, – said Fayzullin.
The expert noted that raw milk is becoming cheaper, but the finished product is increasing in price. According to Fayzullin, this is a consequence of the increase in the VAT rate from 18 to 20%. Packaging materials and ingredients, that is, everything that is not covered by the preferential VAT rate of 10%, has become more expensive by 5-6%. This affected the cost of the finished product. As a result, enterprises have to reconsider current costs.
– Talking about the price of raw milk in the summer this year, I think it will be a cross between indicators of 2017 and 2018, - summed up Ildar Fayzullin.
We will remind, the Russian Dairy Research Center (RDRC) recorded a decrease in the weighted average price of milk in a number of regions of Russia. Director of the Federal state unitary enterprise "Poyma" Anatoly Anisimov, speaking on the topic, said that the price may fall by an average of two rubles by the end of spring.
