Imports of butter and cheese to Russia in the first half of the year increased by 8%
From January to June, 56.5 thousand tons of butter were imported to Russia; it is 8% more than in the same period of 2019. Deliveries of cheese and cottage cheese increased in the first half of the year by 8.8% to 143 thousand tons.
At the same time, in June, 9.6 thousand tons of butter were imported into the country, which is 27.3% more than in June last year and 34.3% more than in May this year.
In addition, in June, Russia imported 22.7 thousand tons of cheese (11.1% more than in June 2019 and 4% less than in May this year).
Imports of non-condensed milk and cream in the first half of the year amounted to 152 thousand tons (+17.8% compared to the same period in 2019), imports of condensed milk and cream reached 72.5 thousand tons or 25.3% less than the level of the first half of 2019.
Deliveries of milk and cream powder decreased by more than 40% in the first half of the year to 45.2 thousand tons. In June, products of this category were supplied by 14.2% more than in May, but almost 22% less than in June last year.
The supply of palm oil to Russia in the first half of the year decreased to 473 thousand tons (6.3% less than in the first half of 2019). At the same time, in June, the import of palm oil and its fractions was only 63.7% of the indicator of June last year - 60.7 thousand tons.
