In 2013 Russia will increase milk and dairy products imports to 4-5 bln dollars
According to Milk Procurement Director in Danone Russia Gilles Bourlot forecast, Russian import of milk and dairy products will reach 4-5 bln dollars in 2013.
According to Milk Procurement Director in Danone Russia Gilles Bourlot forecast, Russian import of milk and dairy products will reach 4-5 bln dollars in 2013. Last year our country’s dairy import totaled 3 bln dollars. The expert says Russian dairy market is experiencing third crisis during last years. The first and second were in 2007 and 2011 accordingly.
Milk deficiency results in price growth. To support the industry it is necessary to streamline the system of subsidies allocation, believes the expert. It could be also effective to establish price range, to launch dairy interventions and to eliminate ban on breeding cattle import from Europe.
