According to the National Report on the implementation of the State program for the development of agriculture in 2019, which was presented by the Ministry of agriculture, in 2019, the total number of built, modernized, reconstructed and commissioned dairy farms in the country was 193, writes The DairyNews.
The number of new facilities put into operation decreased over the year to 122 (154 a year earlier); the number of modernized complexes decreased to 71 (instead of 85 in 2018).
In total, the number of cattle places introduced due to modernization and construction of new facilities amounted to 90.6 thousand.

The report also notes that in 2019, most of new and modernized dairy farming facilities were built and put into operation in the Volga Federal district (68 facilities, or 35%), while in the Southern Federal district, technological modernization was practically not carried out (1 facility).
In addition, by the estimates of the Ministry of agriculture presented in the National Report, only since 2014, there were renovated and modernized 1324 facilities for dairy cattle breeding, in addition to new objects there were introduced another 506.4 thousand cattle places. In 2019, due to the commissioning and reconstruction of dairy farms, the additional volume of milk production amounted to 232 thousand tons.
