According to Antoine Ovre, a representative of CNIEL, the growth rate of milk production in the world in 2021 will be slightly lower than in 2020. The expert spoke at the IDF Global Dairy Conference and during his report said that the growth of milk production in 2021 will be +2.1%, writes The DairyNews.
One of the key drivers of the growth of milk production in the world among exporting countries is the United States, where in the first seven months of 2021 the volume of milk production increased by 2.3% compared to 2020, said Antoine Ovre.
In Russia, this indicator also increased, but only by 0.1%. New Zealand (+5.6%), Uruguay (+5.7%) and Argentina (+4%) showed good growth rates compared to the same period in 2020.
The negative dynamics of milk production (-6%) is noted in Ukraine.
