In August 2020 the volume of butter imports from the Republic of Belarus decreased by 14.7%
In general, the volume of butter imports to Russia in August 2020 decreased by 6.8% to 10.4 thousand tons compared to July 2020.


The volume of imports of cheese and cottage cheese increased by 8.9% to 26.8 thousand tons. The volume of cheese imports from the Republic of Belarus increased by 6.2% to 23 thousand tons, the volume of imports from other countries increased by 29.5% to 3.7 thousand tons.
The volume of imports of skimmed milk powder to Russia in this period increased by 8.2% to 6 thousand tons. The volume of imports from the Republic of Belarus increased by 5% to 5.3 thousand tons, the volume of imports from other countries increased by 42.2% to 669.5 tons.
Imports of whole milk powder decreased by 61.3% to 240 tons, the entire volume accounted for the Belarusian whole milk powder.


The volume of whey powder imports decreased by 31% to 2.9 thousand tons. Imports from the Republic of Belarus in August 2020 decreased by 34.2% to 2.6 thousand tons, while imports from other countries increased by 14.15% to 323.9 tons.
Share of import of exchange-traded products from other countries (except Belarus) increased, respectively, increased the proportions of more expensive products because of the exchange rate of the ruble in calculating the weighted average price of imports, the figure that DIA calculates to determine Dairy Index DIA. We will remind that the import price increased by 1.7% compared to last week to 34.74 rubles/kg, Dairy Index DIA increased by 1.5% to 28.25 rubles/kg.
