In August, the biggest increase in prices was observed for cheeses and condensed milk – Marina Petrova
Alexey Gruzdev, managing partner of Streda Consulting, named two key factors that affect the price of dairy products. The first is purchasing power. Today, according to the expert, it leaves much to be desired. The second factor is the prices of raw milk, since they make up about 50-80% of the cost of final dairy products.
- Now I don't see prices going up. In general, the situation differs for different categories, but on average, dairy products are becoming more expensive this year at the level of inflation — by 3-5%, said Alexey Gruzdev.
Maria Petrova also added that in the future we should expect an increase in demand for traditional dairy products and a significant decrease in the categories of modern dairy products.
