10314,1 thousand tons of raw milk was produced in Russia from January to August by large, medium and small agricultural enterprises, according to The DairyNews.
This is 1.8% more than in the first eight months of 2015.
Meanwhile, in August, milk production in this segment decreased by 0.1% and amounted to 1286,8 thousand tons.
Milk yield per cow on agricultural enterprises increased by 4% in the first eight months of the year and amounted to 4048 kg. In August they received 505 kg of milk per cow in a dairy herd was (+2.9 percent to August 2015).
According to the materials of Rosstat, in August, the shipment of milk for processing by agricultural enterprises decreased by 1.4% and amounted to 1202198,6 tons. In the first eight months of the year, 9756938,7 tons of milk was by the processing segment of the corporate farms (+1.9 percent).
