In January-July 2016 Russian agricultural enterprises produced more than 9 million tons of milk, what is 2.1% more compared to the same period of the previous year, according to Federal State Statistics Service information.
During the period under consideration milk production in all categories of farms totaled 18.4 million tons; agricultural enterprises produced 1.35 million tons in July (+0.3% vs. 2015).
As of August, 1st cattle population in agricultural organizations reached 8,531 thousand heads (-0.7%), including 3,344 thousand cows (-1.5%).
