In Russia, the introduction of electronic veterinary certification of products without paper certificates is postponed to July 1, 2019-the draft law

On July 10 the State Duma plans to consider the government amendments to postpone the introduction of electronic veterinary certification of products for which paper veterinary certificates were not issued to July 1, 2019.
The corresponding notification and amendments are published in the electronic database of the State Duma. Amendments were made to the second reading of the draft law on improving statistics.
Initially, the deadline for the introduction of electronic veterinary certificates for these products was set for July 1, 2018. It primarily related to finished dairy products. However, manufacturers of these products opposed their certification.
The Ministry of agriculture issued an order, according to which the finished dairy products were removed from the list of controlled goods, which should be accompanied by veterinary certificates.
In general, the electronic veterinary certification of supervised products started to operate in Russia since July 1, 2018. According to the Rosselkhoznadzor, 23 million 491 thousand 224 electronic veterinary accompanying documents were issued in the system “Mercury” since July 1 to July 8.
"The system is working correctly," - emphasizes the Rosselkhoznadzor.
