In the 1st half of the year, milk production in the Russian Federation increased by 0.3% - Rosstat

In agricultural organizations, production increased by 1.5%, to 9.2 million tons. This indicator grew at the highest rate in farms and individual entrepreneurs - by 3.2%, up to 1.3 million tons. At the same time, the households of the population reduced production by 2.5%, to 5.3 million tons.

Egg production in farms of all categories in January-June decreased by 0.8%, to 22.3 billion pieces. Moreover, farmers and individual entrepreneurs had the largest drop - by 7.3%, to 249.2 million pieces. In agricultural organizations, production decreased by 0.3%, to 18 billion pieces, in private subsidiary farms - by 2.3%, to 4 billion pieces.

According to Rosstat, the production of livestock and poultry for slaughter (in live weight) in farms of all categories in the first half of the year decreased by 0.4%, to 7.1 million tons. Including in agricultural organizations - by 0.2%, to 5.9 million tons. In the households of the population, this indicator decreased by 3%, to 0.9 million tons. At the same time, farmers increased production by 4.7%, to 0.2 million tons.

The number of cattle at the end of June this year in farms of all categories amounted to 18.9 million animals, which is 1.4% less than a year earlier. Including 8 million cows (1.3% less). The number of pigs increased by 1.6%, to 27.3 million, poultry - by 0.1%, to 564.1 million. The number of sheep and goats was reduced by 5.4%, to 23.5 million.

Agricultural organizations at the end of June had 8.2 million cattle (1.3% less), including 3.2 million cows (1% less). The number of pigs amounted to 24.4 million (2.8% more), poultry-455.3 million (0.7% more), sheep and goats - 3.7 million (15.6% less).

By the end of June, farmers increased the number of cattle by 2.3%, to 3.1 million, the number of cows increased by 2.1%, to 1.4 million. At the same time, the number of pigs decreased by 10.4%, to 0.3 million, poultry - by 3.7%, to 9.8 million, sheep and goats - by 2.9%, to 9 million.

Households of the population have reduced the number of all types of livestock and poultry. The number of cattle at the end of June amounted to 7.6 million (2.8% less), including 3.3 million cows (3.1% less). The number of pigs decreased by 6.6%, to 2.6 million, poultry - by 2.1%, to 99 million, sheep and goats - by 3.4%, to 10.8 million.
