In the first half of the year the share of falsified imported dairy products amounted to 6% - the Rospotrebnadzor

During the first half of 2018 the Rospotrebnadzor examined more than 140 thousand samples of milk and dairy products, including the use of high-tech laboratory control methods that allow detecting chemicals in dairy products above the normalized minimum detection threshold.

The Rospotrebnadzor is concerned about the identification of imported dairy products that do not meet the mandatory requirements. Thus, the share of samples of imported dairy products, which do not meet the physical and chemical indicators, including the indicators of falsification, was 6% in the first half of 2018.

During the first half of 2018, 945 notifications on the detection of falsified dairy products were received on the basis of the system of rapid notification created within the framework of the State information resource in the field of consumer protection (for the period from 2015 to the expired period of 2018, there were received more than 5.8 thousand notifications).

The territorial bodies of Rospotrebnadzor carried out control and supervisory measures on all the facts of detection of falsified products in circulation against manufacturers, suppliers and sellers, administrative fines were imposed for a total amount of about 500 million rubles, 255 lawsuits were sent to the courts, 733 materials – to law enforcement agencies for the initiation of criminal proceedings, more than 900 letters were sent to the certification bodies for the revocation and suspension of certificates of conformity.

More than 300 tons of milk and dairy products that do not meet the mandatory requirements have been withdrawn from sale.

During the control measures carried out in 2017 - 1 half of 2018, the specialists of the Rospotrebnadzor revealed 28 enterprises listed on the packaging of goods as manufacturers, but missing at the declared addresses. The materials were sent to law enforcement agencies.
